  • Assessment of applications for funding support under the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.
  • Provision of funding support
  • Processing of financial payments
  • Collation of monitoring data to demonstrate project outputs
  • Collation of data for evaluation purposes
  • Compliance with audit requirements

 

The legal basis for the processing of your information is:

Compliance with our public task to provide assistance to rural organisations and communities.

Compliance with our legal obligations to provide evidence of project funding and evaluation, and output and audit information to funding bodies {[Omnibus Regulation (EU, Euratom) 2018/1046],[Articles 42-44, Rural Development Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013],[Articles 32-35, Common Provisions Regulation (EU) No 1303/2013 for the European Structural and Investment Funds],[Rural Development Programme (Wales) Regulations 2014 SI No.3222 (W.327)}.

Where we may wish to generate publicity material, we will request your consent for the publication of photographs and / or filming.

We generate a newsletter to provide information about projects; if you wish to receive this communication, we will request your consent.

Where we rely on consent for the processing of your data, you may withdraw your consent at any time.

 

WHAT IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE PERSONAL DATA?

If you do not give us the information we need when we ask for it, this may result in our being unable to provide project funding.

To deliver this service, we only collect personal data directly from you and do not obtain information about you from any other source.

 

 

TRANSFERRING YOUR INFORMATION ABROAD

For the provision of newsletters, names and email addresses may be supplied to MailChimp. MailChimp servers are located in the U.S [and covered by a valid PrivacyShield agreement]

 

 

WHO YOUR INFORMATION MAY BE SHARED WITH (INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY) ?

We may share your information with the following recipients depending on your circumstances:

 

Internally:

Staff within the Economy and Regeneration Service area and other Service areas.

 

Finance:

Depending on the project, data may be shared with the service area which governs the specific area of responsibility for that project. (For example where a project has an educational element, information may be shared with the Schools Service).

 

Externally:

  • Cynnal y Cardi Local Action Group Member and Advisor Organisations
  • UK Government departments
  • Welsh Audit Office
  • Welsh Government Sponsored Pubic Bodies or Agencies
  • European Commission


There are also other specific situations where we may be required to disclose information about you, such as:


• Where the Council is required to provide the information by law
• Where disclosing the information is required to prevent or detect a crime
